Day 15

Yes, so it is already day 15 and I have been very negligent in my documentation.  This is impart to the fact that last week was not stellar on the weight loss front, it seems as though my body wanted to up the challenge by getting sick!

Yes I know excuses, excuses but I did continue with my two shakes a day, however, I did not exercise and my third meal of the day was not always the best! At any rate, I did not gain any weight and have seemed to have lost another pound already this week!

So back on the saddle I get and really buckle down again!  I will be keeping you up to date on my progress!  As always, remember that you can do anything if you set your mind to it, and if you falter don't give up!

Day 6

Hello,

No, you didn't miss days 3-5.  I wanted to wait to give you an update that would have some results attached to it!  This will be short and sweet, but hopefully inspiring.  As of today I have lost 3 pounds, not too bad for a weeks work!

Just a quick recap of the program I am following, I am having two delicious shakes a day and a nice dinner which consists of a lean protein and veggies!  This program is super easy to follow and flexible, considering you can choose which meals you want to substitute a shake for as long as you have two shakes a day and a high protein meal with some fruit and veggies!  For more information on the products go to http://www.amyjones72.greatshapetoday.com

From this point on I will update you every two to three days on my progress with, hopefully, some inspirational results!  I also just want to remind everyone that you too can accomplish your goals, no matter if it is to reach a health related goal or anything that is a change in your norm!

Catch up with you soon,

Day 2

Hello,

Just a quick daily update.  Day 2 of my four week Herbalife weight loss program went very well.  I enjoyed two very delicious and satisfying shakes, and had a great dinner with family(chicken and fruit salad).  I also started a running program yesterday, because you have to diet and exercise to see the greatest results!  I know it is only Day 2, but i feel great (a little sore from running) and super encouraged!

If I can do it, you can do it and with the great products available from Herbalife, it can be just that much easier!  To find out more about the wonderful products and supplements I am using go to http:/www.amyjones72.greatshapetoday.com !

Day 1......The ugly truth

So, this is definately going to hurt me more than it hurts you!  That's what they say right?  Well in this case it is true, today is the day that I let you know where I am at the beginning of my four week diet plan.  I am 39, female and I am 5'6" weighing in at........(drum roll please)......160lbs. Now to some of you this may not seem too bad, but you have to understand that not even two years ago I was 127lbs.

I have some tools available to me that have allowed me to calculate some of my nutritional needs and what I need to do to lose the weight. Don't worry, not all these blogs will be laden with calculations and numbers, but this is a good reference point.  My healthy BMI (body mass index) is 25, this is the highest end of healthy. My BMI is 25.82, so I am just above it, however being a mother of two and having had a baby that weighed 10lbs 7oz at birth, has stretched me and made me flabby and like a lot of women my weight is distributed between my busts and my thighs, so along with diet I will have to do some form of exercise, but we'll get into that later.

My Herbal Health Community helped me figure out, with a light activity level, how many calories I need to cosume a day and how much protein I need in my diet daily.  The magic numbers are (this is for high fat loss, wich I definately need) 1300 calories a day and 67gr of protein.  It may not seem like a lot, but each shake I make is between 200-250 calories and I have two of these a day, I like to have them for breakfast and lunch, I can have a low calorie high protein snack in the afternoon ( I have read that 3p.m. is when you should snack) and then I get to enjoy a dinner with my family of lean protein, chicken/fish or lean beef and veggies!

In conclusion, I know I can do this and I believe anyone can, you just have to stick to it!  I have to say that it is definatey made easier by working from home and having some flexibility in my schedule to get in the exercise and plan the family dinner! I can help you accomplish your goals too!  You can visit my website, http://www.amyjones72.greatshapetoday.com to try a shake Risk Fee, I can then also connect you with the link for the Herbal Health Community, which provides you with great tools to help you lose and manage your weight, as well as the extra support you might want or need!
